Mariah Prussia - Chair

Mariah Prussia is the Founder and President of Define the Fight.  She is also a dynamic Motivational Speaker, Self Defense Expert, 2020 North Dakota Mother of the Year, Podcaster & Talk Show Radio Host on WDAY 970 AM, Adjunct Professor at MSUM and Fargo’s First Sanctioned Professional MMA Fighter and Professional Boxer. Mariah has also been a community partner with the Fargo Police Department’s Badges of Unity program, along with providing youth mentorship and programs within the community. Mariah has faced and defeated many life ambushes as a single mother inside and out of the cage; which is reflected in the Upper Midwest Emmy Award Winning Best Topical film “Prussia.” Prussia depicts her life as a fighter, survivor, and driven mother with an indomitable will to DEFINE and WIN the fight of life. Recognizing that her mission is larger than herself, she strives to ignite the internal warrior within her clients, corporations and newly founded non-profit organization Define the Fight. Her goal is to educate, protect and empower youth to lead from within. Bethany Berkeley - Vice Chair

Bethany Berkeley is dedicated to helping individuals and organizations thrive. She earned her degree from the University of Texas at Austin and spent the beginning of her career in social work research and nonprofit organizational development.

She joined the Dale Carnegie team in 2016 as a Consultant, acquired equity as a Managing Partner in 2019 and in 2020 she became the owner and CEO of the North Dakota/Minnesota franchise. She lead the team, strategy, and direction for the business in North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota. Bethany is a Dale Carnegie Certified Trainer and consultant, specializing in customized in-house training solutions focused on sales, client/customer experience, presence and communication, and leadership. 
 
Bethany is passionate about giving back and has served on numerous chamber committees and non-profit boards over the years. In 2022, she was named the YWCA ‘Woman of Year in Business’ and in 2023, was honored as the CCRI ‘Champion of Change.’ She has been globally recognized annually, receiving awards by Dale Carnegie & Associates for her achievements in the industry. After the sale of her business, Bethany now resides with her two children in the Texas Hill Country and continues as a consultant, trainer, and coach with Dale Carnegie Training. She enjoys competitive skeet shooting, painting, and reading every chance she gets.

Sharon Kerr - Treasurer

Sharon Kerr is Director of Accounting for a company which provides support services for Nonprofit organizations. Sharon oversees all the daily accounting and tax reporting functions of the organization. She has over 25 years of experience as a CPA and financial advisor. Sharon is a native of Los Angeles, CA and holds her bachelor’s degree in accounting from California State University, Northridge; relocating from Seattle, WA to New Hampshire in 2017. Sharon has raised three daughters and enjoys sharing her life experiences with others who may need support and life’s wisdom gained.

Rebecca Rensvold - Marketing

Rebecca Rensvold grew up in rural North Dakota which she gives credit to for her strong work-ethic and value system. She and her husband, Eric, farm in northern Cass County where they are raising their 2 sons- Jaxon and Easton. Rebecca joins Define the Fight Org. with a background in corporate training, development, and recruitment. She has a deep passion for helping others find and reach their full potential. Rebecca’s hobbies include being active, especially outdoors including hiking, running and playing sports with her boys. She also enjoys reading in her free time.

Sara Watson

Sara Watson has an extensive background in the culinary arts community in the Fargo-Moorhead region and beyond. Sara is a mother of 4 originally from Glyndon Minnesota. Growing up on a farm she learned the value of food-to-table production. After high school in Glyndon, Sara earned a Bachelors of Arts at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities with an Art History Degree. While earning her degree, she worked in many high end restaurant establishments and concert venues in the Twin Cities. Because of the work experience she changed career directions and moved on to study Culinary Arts at the Colorado Mountain Culinary Institute in Keystone/Silverthorne Colorado. Sara met her spouse Eric Watson in Colorado and they made their way back to Sara’s roots in the Red River Valley to raise their four children. Together they created Mosaic Foods Catering Company and helped start Maxwells Fine Dining. Moving away from Maxwells they developed their own concepts of Mezzaluna in Downtown Fargo and Rustica Eatery and Tavern in Moorhead MN. They have sold their shares to employees and all restaurants continue to thrive. During all of this Sara also taught future culinarians at MNSTATE and is so proud of the successful folks who came out of that program. As the “Covid Era” approached Sara bravely joined forces with a new business partner and they fixed up an old school house in Ottertail County and opened Blackboard Restaurant. Still thriving and serving 100’s of guests each summer. Sara moved on fall of 2022. Currently Sara works as a private/personal chef to families in the Red River Valley and Lakes Region. She serves on the Board of Directors for “Define the Fight” and does a little consulting on the side. All the while still running around with the teenagers still under her wing.

Lori Abbott - Secretary

Lori Abbott is a Senior Corporate Attorney for one of the world’s largest technology companies. She spent the first 15 years of her career as a family law trial attorney with many years of dedicated pro bono representation of domestic abuse victims. In addition to her Juris Doctorate degree, Lori has a bachelor’s degree in both Criminal Justice and Social Welfare. Ms. Abbott is also a published author and motivational speaker. In addition, Lori has been an active volunteer with Make-A-Wish for 20 years and a children’s Dyslexia tutor for the past 6 years. She is passionate about empowering women to live their soul purpose and helping children equip themselves with the tools needed for pursuing their dreams. In her free time, Lori loves participating in extreme sports, traveling the world and abstract painting.
